NO MAN IS AN ISLAND

"No Man Is An Island" is an innovative installation that draws inspiration from John Donne's timeless 1624 poem. In my interpretation, Donne's verses profoundly engage with the themes of communication and society. Through this project, my intent is to delve into the intricate intersections of digital and physical realms, as well as the interplay between logical and perceptual dimensions.
To bring this poetic exploration to life, I've employed four distinct languages—Chinese, English, Portuguese, and Japanese—to craft a multilayered visual narrative. These languages have been skillfully integrated to transform the visual landscape. The backdrop of the installation features a fabric adorned with the poem, meticulously screen-printed upon it. In this fusion of mediums, words and visuals converge to birth an entirely new poem, one that transcends linguistic boundaries and engages the senses in a truly unique way.
